KNUST Reopens 2022/2023 Admission Portal – Regular admission Full

KNUST reopens 2022/2023 Admission Portal for Applicants to Re-Apply.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has officially opened its admission portal after successfully admitting applicants for the 2022/2023 academic year.

This gives the opportunity to students whose WASSCE results were withheld and those who failed to gain admission. This opportunity is solely provided to those who applied before the deadline but failed to gain admission.

According to KNUST Management, regular admission is full; however, spaces in other modes of admission, such as fee-paying, parallel, IDL diploma, or limited vacancies in selected programs, MAY be available.

What is Fee-Paying?

Fee-paying students are not subsidised by the government. This means that a student admitted on a fee basis needs to pay the full cost of the course. Fee-paying students are charged the actual cost of tuition fees at public universities. They typically pay more than two, three, or even five times the regular fees.

Fee-paying and regular students attend the same lectures, classes, lecturers, and exams. The only difference between a regular student and a fee-paying student is that regular students have their tuition fees subsidised by the government, so they pay lower tuition fees, whereas fee-paying students pay full tuition fees without government support.

Parallel students, however, mostly pay half or a little above half of what fee-paying students pay in an academic year.
