Gold Star (WASSA) Limited is looking for an underground senior mechanic.
Job Purpose:
Planning the day-to-day activities including assigning maintenance and repair tasks, and provide technical support to maintenance team.

Requirements:
- Assign specific tasks to the members of the maintenance team
- Ensure that parts allocated for jobs are efficiently used and excess stocked appropriately
- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain mobile equipment
- Develop, modify and install equipment required for the underground operations
- Attend to maintenance issues on time to minimize down time and potential production loss
- Lead teams and report breakdown and defects on equipment to the supervisor
- Provide inspection checklist and field documentation
- Perform any other related duties that will be assigned by the Leader
Knowledge And Skills Requirements:
Knowledge：
- Must have a minimum of an HND in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years post qualification or previous experience
- MinCom Certification will be an added advantage
- Knowledge in advance hydraulics and basic auto electricals

Skills & Abilities：
- Good communication skills (oral and written-English)
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagram
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills with high degree of teamwork
- Proven commitment and integrity
- Compliance with GSR policy and procedures on pre-start checks, ‘Takes 5’ and other safety and environmental standards
- Show understanding of fundamental safety management systems
- Ability to use CAT, ET and SIS is an advantage
