Savana Signatures seeks a qualified individual as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) manager who will be responsible for the daily implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities of the organisation.
Job Description
- The Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) manager will be primarily responsible for the daily implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities of the organisation.
- She or He will oversee all MERL activities, provide technical direction and support to the project team, ensure the accurate reporting of results for program activities, data harmonisation and visualisation.
- The MERL activities will include designing a MERL system, conducting evaluations and rapid assessments, work planning, tracking the progress of multiple project objectives, development of data collection instruments and sampling strategies, onsite research and data collection, documenting best practices, writing/reviewing required reports and liaising with stakeholders on technical matters.

Required Skills or Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics, Population Studies, Information Studies or any relevant scientific discipline from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in implementing monitoring Evaluation, Research and learning activities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and the ability to use various commercially available statistical software programs.
