CORE RESPONSIBILITY

To plan and implement comprehensive security strategies. Controlling security operations, monitoring expenses and documenting processes. Supervising, recruiting and training of security personnel. Gathering security intelligence and implementing preventive measures.

Core Duties

Your main responsibility as an area manager is to ensure that you:

Responsibilities of an Area Manager with Regards to Operations

The Branch/ Area manager must visit every client twice once a week and the meeting must be documented (Report)
Responsible for recruitment
Reduce staff turnover and assist the security force under your mandate with all pay related complains
Ensure 24/7 patrols take place at your area. All sites must be visited by them every day
Ensure the quality of training of your supervisors and guards and also staff id aware of Access Control Security values and principles.
Immediately respond to all client request, incidents and complaints ensuring swift and professional follow up on our part.
Advise the client/customer of security breaches and lapses.
The Area Managers should be countable 24 hours per day 7 days per week. This includes checking in for emergency situation when on periods of leave.
Ensure that all sites have site procedures agreed and signed off by customer. All site procedures must include specific site instructions.
Ensure your operational fleet of vehicles, motor bikes under your mandate are administered correctly. Any abuses are inspections must be documented and filed.

Report any breaches to the operations manager immediately.

Ensure the disciplinary code of the company is adhered to and enforced strictly.
Weekly and monthly operational reports must be submitted to the Ops Manager as per standard format.
Ensure proper parades and conducted by supervisors and security
Perform other duty assigned by the operations Manager.

Required Skills or Experience

COMPETENCIES

Preferably a minimum HND in social sciences, business administration or its equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in similar role within the industry

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Excellent knowledge of security operations and procedures
Excellent Customer Service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be alert and focus
Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with clients

Excellent planning and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
