About the role
The Bartlett School of Architecture (BSA) Facilities, Building and Safety Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the school’s day-to-day operations across the 4 sites that the BSA occupies.
- The post holder will be responsible for supporting and advising staff and students on a variety of operational matters, such as studio management, room bookings, telecommunication, postal deliveries, and waste management.
- The post holder will be expected to liaise with UCL Estates to coordinate any maintenance issue requests, cleaning and waste requirements and arrange cleaning and security services.
- The post holder will undertake Health and Safety Audits of studios and shared spaces within the Bartlett School of Architecture.
- The post holder will play a central role in the review process and implementation of safety control measures across the BSA sites and activities.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a Facilities/Health and Safety role and will have up-to-date knowledge of fire safety, health and safety regulations, and facilities management issues. You will have experience in space management and planning.
You will be able to work independently and part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with staff and student queries. You will have good IT skills across a range of programms.
