- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.
- The main purpose of the Finance Officer is to contribute to the effective management of CIC’s Accounts and administration function and to support programme staff in financial management.
- The post- holder is responsible for supporting the maintenance of effective financial, IT and Human Resources systems and processes in line with CIC’s corporate policies and procedures and for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the office run smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Assist with the payroll processes and timely payments to employees
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Handle tax-related matters and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Book economic transactions into the accounting system promptly, accurately and completely.
- Vet all source documents to ascertain their occurrence, ownership and economy.
- Stay updated on accounting principles and best practices.
- Assist with general the administration and human resource management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to priorities tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in French will be an added advantage
