PROGRAM SUMMARY

  • This newest program, which uses an ecosystem approach, is aimed to deploy tailored industry expertise and know-how to support milling operations in key value chains East and West Africa.
  • The tailored support will be deployed through the ECOWAS Rice Observatory (ERO) in West Africa and the COMESA Horticulture Accelerator (CHA) in East Africa. PFS brings together 800 years of combined expertise from multinationals like General Mills, Cargill, and Bühler AG which will be deployed in support of medium-size processors (“clients”) working in rice and horticulture value chains. Services provided by PFS are designed to complement and dovetail the work being done regionally by other partners in ERO and CHA.
  • In addition to our newest partnership program with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, PFS has a Direct Model program which deploys the full range of corporate partners’ expertise to clients across all PFS markets and all nutritious value chains in an effort to holistically address the technical food processing and other business expertise needs not otherwise available to established food companies looking to strengthen their capabilities.

S/he has responsibility for ensuring high-quality M&E reports are delivered on time to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation including annual impact reports and updates for program monthly meetings.
  • The Data Analyst and M&E Coordinator is responsible for proactively identifying emerging trends in program performance over the life of the project to ensure project results are met. S/he will establish strong and accurate data management systems for the project team that will ensure PFS captures timely and accurate performance results as per the output and outcome indicators.
