Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or related roles, preferably in the agriculture
Responsibilities
- Identify and source potential suppliers and vendors for agricultural products, equipment, and services based on company requirements and quality standards
- Conduct thorough evaluations of vendor capabilities, product quality, pricing
- Draft and review vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure vendor performance, including on-time delivery, product quality, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor vendor performance against established KPIs, address any issues or discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers through regular communication, collaboration, and feedback
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a positive vendor experience
- Work closely with vendors to manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet production and sales requirements
- Optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs through effective inventory management strategies
- Analyze pricing proposals, supplier quotes, and cost structures to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement efficiencies
- Implement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and vendor relationships
