Position: Head Teacher

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Vision:

Develop and articulate a clear vision for the school’s academic and co-curricular programs.
Provide strategic leadership to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

2. Curriculum Development and Implementation:

Oversee the development and implementation of a robust and relevant curriculum.
Ensure adherence to national educational standards and continuous improvement in teaching methodologies.

3. Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and mentor teaching and administrative staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

4. Student Welfare:

Foster a supportive and safe learning environment for all students.
Implement effective discipline and pastoral care programs.

5. Community Engagement:

Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
Organise and participate in community outreach initiatives.

6. Financial Management:

Develop and manage the school’s budget effectively.
Ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently to support educational goals.

7. Quality Assurance:

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
Implement measures to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning.

Qualification Required & Experience

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

In-depth knowledge of the Ghanaian/International educational system and curriculum.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Postgraduate degree preferred.
Hold a professional teaching certification with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Demonstrate proven leadership experience within an educational setting..
Hold a rank of at least Assistant Director.
Be able to work under pressure.
Be under 55 years of age.
Possess strong interpersonal skills.
Possess a working knowledge in ICT.
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
