Position: Secretary

A reputable rural bank in the Ashanti Regions is requiring the services of qualified persons for the following job position: Company Secretary

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the Board to comply with the constitution of the company and with any relevant enactment
• Preparing and issuing out notices in the name of the company
• Ensuring that all statutory forms and returns are duly filed with the registrar
• Ensuring the annual financial statements of the company are dispatched to every person entitled to the statement
• Ensuring that the minutes of the meetings of the shareholders and the directors are properly recorded
• Ability to provide the board with guidance as to their duties, responsibilities and powers and on the changes and development in the laws affecting the operation of companies

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of first degree in Law, Business Administration, Secretarial or its related fields from a recognized institution
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role preferably in the banking or financial sector
• Being a member of the following professional bodies will be an added advantage, Law, institute of chartered accountants, institute of chartered secretaries and administrators.

Competencies and Skills

• Strong communication and people skills including presentation skills
• Strong management, administrative and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
• Working knowledge of the companies Act, 2019, Act 992
• Working knowledge of Bank of Ghana Corporate Directives, 2021

Location: Ashanti Region
