Responsibilities

The Job holder shall:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to his direct reports
  • Assist Team Lead to manage SLAs, licenses and contracts;
  • Responsible for analysing business requirements and translating them to hardware and software specifications
  • Responsible for incident and problem management for Desktop and End-User computing appliances
  • Responsible for assessing impact of new projects or application enhancements on end user devices
  • Responsible for the general maintenance of all desktops, laptops, printers, scanners,
    telephone handsets, video conferencing hardware and associated software
  • Contribute to the recommendation and the acquisition of the appropriate technology and other resources to maximize stat productivity
  • Maintain an asset inventory of all hardware procured Secure the disposal of decommissioned hardware devices
  • Service and maintain all hardware devices
  • Responsible for the deployment or delivery of end-user desktop and peripheral devices
  • Contribute to the formulation long-term technical and strategie directions as it relates to IT functions and services.
  • Responsible for managing and analysing operational metrics/KPIs, review customer feedback to ensure quality and operational efficiency, and implement proactive remedial actions.
  • Assist with vendor relationship management
  • Any other duties that may he assigned within the context of the job role from time to time

Qualifications

  • Minimum of First Degree in ICT/Bsc Computer Science/Bsc Computer Engineering or related field from a recognized institution
  • Must have relevant professional certification

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience with at least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with deploying and administering cloud services or collaboration with
  • Cloud Service Providers is highly desire

Specific Skills

  • Knowledgeable in computer hardware
  • Good hardware troubleshooting skills
    knowledgeable in managing IT related risks to ensure confidentiality, integrity and
    availability of information as well as developing
  • In-depth knowledge of information security especially data encryption, anti-virus and end-point detection and response solutions
  • Excellent troubleshooting and monitoring skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively while setting the tone of the team through effective leadership,
  • Excellent communication skills/Interpersonal skills (leadership, effective listening, conflict management etc.
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis
