The inaugural event, an exclusive presidential roundtable reception, will take place at the Kempinski hotel in Accra on Saturday, April 30th, 2022. At 5:00 PM, Mr. Gyan’s awards and other achievements will be on display, followed by the main event at 6:00 PM.

The official event organizers, Kels Media Group Consult, in collaboration with Asamoah Gyan Foundation, announced the formal notification of the book launch to the general public and the media.

In addition, the book will be launched in Kumasi, Ghana, and also in the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Gyan’s memoir will recount his career as a footballer, taking him from Ghana to Italy, France, England, the United Arab Emirates, China, and India.

The book is anticipated to include anecdotes from Gyan’s stint with the Black Stars, which included appearances in seven AFCONs and three (3) World Cups.

The goal of the project is to capture former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan’s memoirs, which will include a no-holds-barred description of the unknown stories behind his football career. A gripping and captivating video documentary and a public auction of his book will serve as the event’s culmination.

The inaugural launch in Accra is exclusively by invitation only, with international coaches, business leaders, clergy, politicians, and the media expected to attend. Didier Drogba, Anthony Baffoe, Emmanuel Adebayor, Jay Jay Okocha, Anthony Yeboah, Milovan Rajevac, Baffour Gyan, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Avram Grant, Kwesi Appiah, Agyeman Badu, and others are among personalities expected to attend.

H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, will be the Special guest. Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of CAF, will be the Main Speaker. Members of Parliament, the Diplomatic Corps, and past and present members of the Black Stars would also be in attendance, including the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif; Ghana Football Association President, Mr. Kurt Okraku; and members of Parliament, the Diplomatic Corps, and past and present members of the Black Stars.

He had previously briefed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo on the book earlier this year.

With eight goals in seven AFCON matches, Asamoah Gyan is the Black Stars’ second-highest scorer in the tournament.

In addition to being Ghana’s all-time leading scorer and most-capped player, the former Al Ain forward is the country’s all-time leading scorer.
