Ghana signs visa waiver agreements with Qatar, Jamaica, Venezuela and 5 other countries.
Government has taken the required steps to improve passport administration service delivery in Ghana and at its overseas embassies.
Ghana has inked visa waiver agreements with eight nations, according to a tweet from the Ghana Presidency.
Qatar, Jamaica, Suriname, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, Venezuela, and Malta are among the countries on the list.
Qatar is a peninsular Arab country with arid desert and a long stretch of beaches and dunes along the Persian (Arab) Gulf. Doha, Qatar’s capital, is also located on the coast and is known for its futuristic skyscrapers and other ultramodern architecture inspired by ancient Islamic design, such as the limestone Museum of Islamic Art.
Suriname is a small country on South America’s northeastern coast. Huge swathes of tropical rainforest, Dutch colonial buildings, and a melting-pot culture characterize it. The capital, Paramaribo, sits on the Atlantic coast, where palm gardens flourish near Fort Zeelandia, a 17th-century trading station.
The Grenadines are a group of islands in the Caribbean that include Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The reef-lined island of Bequia, with private Princess Margaret Beach and the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, is famed for its yacht-filled ports and sailing sites. Mustique is a private island with secluded beaches and luxury houses.
Saint Kitts and Nevis is a twin-island republic sandwiched between the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans. It’s famous for its cloud-covered mountains and sandy beaches. Many of the country’s former sugar estates have been converted into inns or evocative ruins. The dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano, which is home to a crater lake, green vervet monkeys, and a rainforest crisscrossed with hiking trails, dominates the bigger of the two islands, Saint Kitts.
The government has taken the required efforts to improve passport administration service delivery in Ghana and at its overseas missions.
This means that officials with diplomatic, service, or official passports from these nations will not need to apply for visas when visiting Ghana and vice versa.
According to the Presidency, various initiatives have also been taken to improve service delivery in Ghana’s passport office and its overseas embassies.
“Purchase of generator sets for all 13 Passport Application Centers (PAC) in Ghana” and “roll-out of E-Visa application hardware at our Missions overseas and at the Ghana Immigration Service” are among the projects.
