Stormzy pays homage to Daddy Lumba on Global Citizen Festival Stage.

Legendary Ghanaian artist Charles Kwadwo Fosu, well known by his stage name Daddy Lumba, has thanked Stormzy for paying homage to him at the recent Global Citizen Festival.

In addition to his outstanding performance, British rapper Stormzy’s clothing attracted attention when audience members noticed the legend it depicted. One of Daddy Lumba’s album covers was printed on the front of Stormzy’s black t-shirt.

Daddy Lumba thanked that remarkable guy man and his generous gesture in a message posted on his official Facebook page.

“Stormzy’s tribute to me last night at the Global Citizen Festival deeply moved me.
I’d like to use this chance to express how thankful and appreciative I am for the public display of love. It would be an understatement to call the gesture sweet and humble.
I appreciate it very much.

Because of his enormous contribution to the development of the Ghanaian highlife genre, Daddy Lumba is regarded as a legend in his own right.
