GETFund Local Scholarship 2022/2023: How To Apply Online

The GETFund Local Scholarship Application Portal for 2022-2023 is now open!

The Ghana Education Trust Fund is accepting applications for Local scholarships for the 2022/23 Academic year. This scholarship is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Ghanaian students pursuing a diploma, a higher national diploma (HND), a degree, or a master’s degree in any public tertiary institution in the country are eligible to apply.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is a public trust established in 2000 by an Act of Parliament. Its primary mission is to augment government efforts to provide educational infrastructure and facilities in the public sector from pre-tertiary to tertiary levels.

Requirements of GETFund Scholarships

GETFund Scholarship Undergraduate Application Requirements

Applicants must upload the following documents to be considered for the GETFund Local Scholarship:

  • Scanned copy of signed Application letter
  • Scanned copy of proof of Nationality (Copy of Passport / National I.D Card)
  • Admission letter clearly stating the program duration
  • Approved Fee Schedule (2022/23 Academic Year)
  • Secondary School Certificate results (WASSCE, CTVET, and any other certificate recognized by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission GTEC) (where applicable)
  • Previous academic term transcripts for continuing students (where applicable)
  • Previous Undergraduate Certificate (Degree, HND, Diploma) and corresponding transcript for applicants pursuing another Undergraduate certificate (Degree, HND) (where applicable)

All applicants are required to complete their application form via the GETFund Scholarship Portal.

GETFund Scholarship Postgraduate Application Requirements

Applicants must upload the following documents to be considered for the GETFund Local Scholarship:

  • Scanned copy of signed Application letter
  • Scanned copy of proof of Nationality (Copy of Passport / National I.D Card)
  • Scanned copy of admission letter clearly stating the program duration in it
  • Scanned copy of approved Fee Schedule (2022/23 Academic Year) – if not stated in the letter of admission
  • Scanned copy of 1st degree certificate (Masters and PhD applicants)
  • Scanned copy of other degree certificate (PhD applicants only)
  • Scanned copy of previous transcript (Masters and PhD applicants only)
  • Scanned copy of National Service Certificate where applicable (Masters and PhD applicants only)
  • Copy of Curriculum Vitae (Masters and PhD applicants only).

All applicants are required to complete their application form via the GETFund Scholarship Portal

The basic eligibility requirement is for an applicant to be a Ghanaian Citizen followed by all other requirements as stated on the Scholarship application portal.

How To Apply For GETFund Scholarship 2022/2023

To apply for GETFund undergraduate and graduate scholarships, follow the instructions below.

  1. To apply, visit GETFund Local Scholarship application portal: https://scholarships.getfund.gov.gh/
  2. Scroll down and Click on CLICK HERE TO APPLY NOW
  3. Register an account.
  4. Start your application (save it in-progress)
  5. Submit your application to be reviewed.
  6. Ensure that the name used in registration correspond to that on your admission letter
  7. After registering or signing up, enter the username and password you used to register or sign up in order to login.
  8. Fill your GETFund Scholarship Application Form and Submit your application.
GETFund Scholarship Deadline

The effective opening date for applications is Monday, 12th December 2022 and closing date for applications is Tuesday, 31st January 2023
