About the Role
The company is seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of products, materials, and information throughout our supply chain.
Main Duties
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the transportation, warehousing, and inventory control processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Utilize AS400 systems and other tools for tracking and managing logistics activities.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline operations.
- Supervise a team of logistics staff and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Conduct data analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics management within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using AS400 systems and other logistics software.
- Familiarity with forklift operations and safety protocols.
- Excellent data analysis skills to drive informed decision-making.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines effectively.
