The Business Application Support Engineer focuses on business applications deployment, implementation, maintenance and support. He/she follows recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations, and resolves routine customer and operational application support issues.

Responsibilities
Job holder shall:

- Resolve all assigned application and system issues
- Participate in the resolution of applications issues, provide updates and assist with root cause analysis
- Follow’ procedure to Implement application and configuration change to ensure optimal quality assurance for all applications.
- Patch application servers per policy and industry best practices
- Provide support, Identity and document all such issues identified as well as s outons provided
- Assist with managing all production systems and recommend ways to optmize performance and apply fixes to identified problems
- Assist the team to prepare RCA reports for all service outage
- Any other duties that may be assigned within the context of his role from time to time
Qualifications
- Minimum of First Degree in IT/Computer Science or related field from a recognized institution.
- A Master’s Degree is a distinct advantage

Experience:
- Must have a minimum of tive (5) years work experience with at least three (3) years experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of commercial banking
Specific Skills:
- Good knowledge of the Bank’s products and services, systems, procedures and policies
- Working knowledge of Core Banking
- Application especially Oracle Flexible Universal Banking System
- Understanding of IT Service
- Management especially services delivery
- Good knowledge of application performance management tools
- Good knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, Net, C++, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby.
- Good knowledge of MS SOL and Oracle databases, and basic networking
- Good knowledge of Web Logic, Microsoft IIS, Apache/Tomcat application servers
- Good knowledge of the use of application testing methodologies and tools
- Good troubleshooting skills and experience performing Root Cause Analysis
- Excellent customer service skills
