In order to be accepted in the Ghana army, one must fulfil the standards and qualifications established by the military. These requirements are meant to ensure that prospective soldiers possess the knowledge, physical attributes, and moral qualities required for military duty.
In order for prospective army officers to join the team and support the defence and security of the country, it is imperative that they fulfil certain requirements.
Positions And RequirementsÂ
1. Infantry/Armour/Artillery
In addition to the general eligibility criteria, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised university/Institution.

2. Signal Corps
In addition to the general eligibility criteria, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised university/institution in any of the following fields:
- Computer Science.
- Computer/Software Engineering.
- Instrumentation/Network/System Engineering.
- Network/Software Engineering.
- Cyber/Forensic Security.
- Network Security.
- Info Tech Systems Auditing.
- Information Systems Science
- Management Information Systems.
- Mathematics.
