Job Description
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Esoko, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing intuitive, performant, and scalable user interfaces for our messaging and survey platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless and impactful user experiences that drive the success of businesses across Africa and beyond. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled engineer with a strong command of frontend technologies, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional digital experiences.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to gather requirements and translate them into interactive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough testing of frontend components and resolve any bugs or performance issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the development process and user experience.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and standards.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration of APIs and backend services
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer, with a focus on designing and developing complex web applications.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and modern build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous request handling.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues quickly.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
