Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications, ensuring proper labelling and packaging.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns and directing patients to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Receive and process prescription orders, verifying insurance coverage and communicating with healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescription orders, inventory transactions, and patient profiles.
- Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment and software systems.
- Adhere to safety standards and report any potential hazards or incidents to the pharmacist.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and organizing paperwork.
- Stay updated on pharmacy regulations, new medications, and industry trends through ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy dispensing software.
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
