The Baakoye Cocoa Farmer Cooperative & Marketing Union is seeking to engage a Field Officer for an upcoming project. The cooperative is dedicated to supporting its cocoa farmers to enhance their livelihoods and promote sustainable agricultural practices. As a Field Officer, you will play a key role in facilitating these activities.

Major Responsibilities
- Organize community meetings and awareness creation sessions.
- Develop comprehensive training modules, materials and schedules for farmers on modern vegetable (Okro and pepper) cultivation techniques and best practices.
- Schedule frequent visits to participating farmers’ fields to provide guidance, monitor progress and address any challenges.
- Offer demonstration and hands-on support to assist farmers in implementing the learned techniques effectively.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the project demonstration farm.
- Prepare timely comprehensive field reports that include progress, challenges, successes and lessons learned. Keep accurate up-to-date records of all project activities, including training sessions, field visits and farmer interactions.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Recommended:
Required Skills or Experience
- Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
- Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience as an extension officer.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills in English and Twi.
