Asanko Gold Ghana Limited Ghana Ltd. (“AGGL”) is a joint venture between Galiano Gold and Gold Fields. The primary asset is the multi-pit Asanko Gold Mine complex, located in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Galiano Gold are the managers and operators of the Asanko Gold Mine.
Asanko Gold is accepting applications for the graduate training programme for 2024. The mining firm is seeking suitably qualified graduates who have completed their mandatory National Service with the company to be enrolled under its Graduate Training Programme as GRADUATE TRAINEE.

PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the program is to maintain a talent pool of young graduates of varying disciplines and bequeath to them the required minimum job experiences which are universal to the mining industry, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, talent acquisition, and development programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This will include but not be limited to the following;
- Undergo on-the-job training through the concept of training through work;
- Develop positive work ethics and attitude in line with the Asanko Mission and Vision;
- Contribute to production efficiencies, safety improvements, value addition, and cost-saving initiatives at Asanko Gold Mine;
- Comply with regulatory and policy requirements pertaining to one’s function as well as occupational health, safety, and environment;
- Support in the achievement of the company’s objective through learning and development;
- Build expertise in the various chosen career paths.

Required Skills or Experience
- Must have completed their National Service program at Asanko Gold Mine for the period 2021/2022 and 2022/2023;
- Must have a degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in the under-listed disciplines:
- BSc. Mining Engineering
- BSc. Geological/Geomatic Engineering
- BSc. Mineral/Metallurgy/Material Science/Chemical Engineering
- BSc. Mechanical/Electrical & Electronic/Automotive Engineering
- BSc. Environmental Science/Natural Resources
- BSc. Health & Safety Management
- BSc. Business Administration/Human Resource Management
- B.A. Social Sciences/Commerce/Accounting
- BSc. / HND Logistics and Supply Chain/ Computer Science
- BSc. Civil/Architecture Engineering
- Must have at least a second class lower;
- Must be proactive and demonstrate the ability to take appropriate initiatives.
