There is a job vacancy for Group Finance Manager At The Akofis Group. The position holder will effectively and efficiently manage their Group finance function.
Candidate is accountable for, but not limited to our operations finances and reporting; annual budgets as well as monthly actual results and forecasting; formulating and administering the organization’s financial plans and policies to ensure that the Group has adequate financing for its subsidiaries and business activities and ensuring compliance with all financial reporting and statutory obligations.
The qualified candidate must have a keen interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of the Group.

Responsibilities:
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the maintenance of the general ledger, including account reconciliations, and the production of various financial reports and statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
- Responsible for all accounting, budgeting, financial controls and costs for the company.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of AKOFIS Group and its subsidiaries
- Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments, Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.

- Prepare management accounts, financial statement and check tor AKOFIS Group’s adherence to statutory requirements and full compliance with all relevant (financial) standards,
- Managing the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process, including general ledger and subsidiary ledgers close requirements,
- Maintain a strong control environment across the key business cycles, including account reconciliations.
- Coordinate departmental budgets and ensure its accuracy before incorporating it in the final budget for approval.

- Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with Companies Act requirements, and International
- Financial Reporting standards (IFRS).
- Ensure adherence to corporate reportinq requirement as per company policy.
- Ensuring consistent application of tax principles.
- Ensure consistent application of accounting practices as per local regulations
- Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the Group
- Prepare payroll and manage compliance with all statutory returns including, Withholding Tax, corporate tax, SSNIT, etc.
- Preparing and assisting with (financial) audits Other duties as may apply

Requirements
- A minimum of First Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must be a Qualified Accountant with any of these certifications: CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
- Proven experience in managing a Finance Department (preferably, in a Group of Companies) at least a minimum of 5 years.
- Integrity, strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills,
- Analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills,
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Sound knowledge of accounting, tax laws and compliance oriented.
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting softwares such as Zoho Books, etc - The ability to understand the bigger picture for the Group.
