SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International is seeking to hire a head of security for planning, directing, overseeing, and coordinating all security activities.

Job Description
- Planning, directing, overseeing and coordinating all security activities on SOS-HGIC campuses.
- Escalating all major offences to the Senior House Tutor or any member of the Senior Leadership Team immediately i.e., drugs, sex, alcohol, breaking bounds (boys to girls hostels and vice versa), bullying and leaving campus without authorisation.
- Overseeing the accurate capture of all major offences reported in the Occurrence book and query security guards who falter in reporting/capturing major offences.
- Supervising Security Guards in the performance of duties to ensure the security and safety of life and property on campus.

- Confidently challenge students breaking school rules i.e., curfew, breaking lights out, bringing-in food to the hostels during visiting days, etc.
- Regularly conducting ad hoc inspection rounds to ensure that properties and personnel are safe.
- Gathering intelligence, identifying potential security problems and introducing solutions.
- Organising training for security guards so they are well-informed regarding updated policies and security trends.
- Monitoring Electronic Security System
- Formulating and ensuring the implementation and compliance of security policies, procedures and programmes for SOS-HGIC
- Overseeing the accurate booking of all visitors or contractors entering/exiting the campus and ensuring staff, vehicle log books and movement records are updated regularly.
- Oversight responsibility for emergency procedures to ensure the safe evacuation of the campus in case of fire or other emergencies.

Qualification And Experience
SHS Certificate or equivalent certificate with a minimum of 4 years experience in a relevant field or related role.
