About Rivendell Care Home

Rivendell is small family Care home who provide a High Quality of Care and Support. Our mission is provide a “home for life”. This means providing a fulfilling life for our residents and also proving care and support to meet all their needs through to the end of their life.

Our staff team are a very important part of Rivendell. We work short 6 hour shifts so that we can have a quality focus on the residents at Rivendell and then time to recharge your batteries. We only work one 12 hour shift in a week where staff can increase their hours per week should they wish. We provide regular update training and supervision to assist and support you in your role. And career development opportunities for those who wish.

Where necessary, and where possible if the buses are not running we will provide a shuttle run to or from work. Staff are provided with meals at meal time.

Some of your Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to our individual residents
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and activities
  • Assist with living life to the full
  • Work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of care and support.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and wellbeing
  • Assist with all aspects of our residents lives.
  • Implement care and support as per our residents individual care plans.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up

Skills:

No experience is required. Full training will be provided. However, you may have some of the skills below.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Positive and flexible Attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in care home or home care settings
  • Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies
  • Ability to administer medication accurately and safely
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
