The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and expansion for BASPAG
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and revenue streams
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, and potential clients
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients and partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality services to clients
  • Develop and manage a budget for business development activities
  • Report regularly to the Executive Director on business development activities and progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and developing strategic partnerships
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of the Ghanaian business environment and industry trends Experience working with donors and financial institutions
  • Experience working with energy industry (including green economy), a plus

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Professional certification in marketing, sales, or business development (e.g. CIM, CIMA)
  • Experience working in a membership-based organization or trade association
