Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and expansion for BASPAG
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and revenue streams
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, and potential clients
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality services to clients
- Develop and manage a budget for business development activities
- Report regularly to the Executive Director on business development activities and progress
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and developing strategic partnerships
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of the Ghanaian business environment and industry trends Experience working with donors and financial institutions
- Experience working with energy industry (including green economy), a plus
Desirable Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Professional certification in marketing, sales, or business development (e.g. CIM, CIMA)
- Experience working in a membership-based organization or trade association
