Job description
We are looking for Females that hold SIA licences or willing to gain an SIA licence to join our team at the Port in Belfast. This role consists of regular body searches and climbing into and out of cabs. Your welcoming nature will be the security presence needed to reassure people they are entering an area, within which they will be kept safe due to your diligence and vigilance. We specify this post as a female search officer because you will be searching female passengers on arrival and exit.
Responsibilities
- Searching female passengers on arrival and exit to the Port
- Search of equipment and manual search techniques,too ensure that no prohibited articles are taken through the Port
- X-ray screening and bag searching Vehicle search and freight search

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- SIA Licence (or willingness to undergo training to achieve this)
- The right to work in the UK and a 5-year checkable history
- Able to get to the site on-time for your shifts (reasonable commute) Excellent customer service

Work Time: 2 early shifts 06.00 – 14.00, 2 late shifts 14.00 – 22.30, 2 days off. Every other week there will be on late shift ending at 3:30am. This post is for Female applicants only as it is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Article 10(2) (b) (i) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976 (as amended).
