At the Connected Hub we are looking for a highly skilled, passionate, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)with experience of working with secondary age pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). You will have an excellent knowledge of GCSE core subjects (English, Maths and Science) and the ability to teach small groups of pupils at GCSE level.
Salary and hours
The working pattern will be Monday- Friday 8:45- 3:15 plus a requirement to attend weekly staff meetings.

About the role
Your role will be:
- To teach GCSE core subjects to Year 11 pupils, in small groups.
- To work alongside teachers within the classroom to supports students with their learning, encouraging pupils to interact with others in the classroom and engage in activities led by the teacher.
- To work under the supervision of the core subject teachers and senior staff to understand the learning needs of pupils and ensure effective support in across the curriculum.
- To take a lead role in developing and maintaining resources to assist in teaching.
- To monitor progress of named students and provide feedback.
- To contribute to the planning of teaching and learning for whole classes and/or individual students on a short, medium and long-term basis.
- To prepare, develop, maintain and deploy appropriate learning aids, materials and equipment, including ICT, to assist in teaching.
