Job Description
The job generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:
- Develop and conduct experimental studies with insects in controlled or natural surroundings
- Collect and analyze biological data and specimens
- Study the characteristics of insects, including interactions with other species and their environment, reproduction, population dynamics, diseases, and movement patterns
- Research, initiate, and maintain breeding programs for insects

- Estimate, monitor, and manage insect populations
- Write research papers, reports, and scholarly articles that explain findings
- Studying insect anatomy, physiology, behavior, and ecology to identify new species or understand more about existing species
- Studying the effects of environmental factors on insect populations, such as weather patterns, seasonal changes, and manmade influences such as pesticides or other toxins
- Identifying insect species and classifying them according to their physical characteristics
- Researching insect behavior and habitat requirements, including diet preferences and mating habits
- Collecting specimens of insects for study in a lab setting or field conditions

Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Entomology/ Agriculture/ Biological Sciences
- Candidates must have 2-3 years of working experience as an Entomologist
- Experience in field work & project management
- Should be willing to relocate
- Should be willing to work on the farm
KEY SKILLS
- Strong writing and speaking skills, critical-thinking skills, observation and problem-solving skills, Proficiency in operating computer database systems, geographic information systems and modelling software
