Pro-active management of supply planning processes and integrated sub-processes to meet business commitments and deliver required levels of customer service. Interface between the Sourcing Units, Services team and the broader supply chain business functions to ensure that there are no interruptions in supply and that the highest level of customer service is achieved.Responsible for managing the supply planning process for the Categories / Businesses and the coordinating of the long-term supply plans from the frozen period to the end of the 24-month horizon in order to optimise customer service at minimal cost and inventory investment.
Manage the reconciliation of supply and total demand for the lines planned and escalates where exceptions exist.
Co-ordinate the resolution of short-term service gaps.
Structurally addresses service losses.
Interfaces between the Sourcing Units/plants, the broader supply chain and business functions to ensure that there are no interruptions in supply and that the highest level of customer service is achieved.
Manage the launch of planned innovations post market ready gate and manages the delivery of renovations throughout the innovation process, with minimal write off costs (is accountable for business waste management and minimization irrespective of the type of innovation).
Identify and reviews stock norms for finished goods in order to achieve working capital and service aspirations.

Service:

Anticipating and addressing short term Supply Chain risks.
Responsible for stock availability loss in the OTIF loss tree.
Short term gap closing / demand management.
Eliminates tactical and strategic service losses through daily root cause analysis.
Ensure production requirements are updated on SAP.

Supply And Demand Reconciliation

Reconcile demand and supply. Flag any production constraints with the sourcing unit team and lead the debottlenecking where possible.
Table resultant (optimized) line utilization and impact on supply for discussion in S&OP Supply Meeting monthly.

Obtains data from multiple sources for inclusion in the calculation of stock targets. (e.g. forecast accuracy, factory reliability, production cycle times, order lead time, despatch rates).
Calculates and interprets safety, cycle, pipeline, strategic and pre-build stocks in order to facilitate decision making.
Consolidates and proposes stock level targets for agreement by Supply Chain and Factory managers.
Support the resolution of constraints in the supply plan :
Identifies exceptions where there is insufficient supply to match demand.
Constructs scenarios to address constraints that can be used to close the gap between supply and demand.
Identify unavoidable constraints and communicate those to stakeholders.
Monitors and analyses resultant finished goods working capital projections and flag exceptions that are outside of the pre-defined parameters.
Optimising agreed Supply processes to deliver expected efficiency levels.

Innovation And Renovation

Assess the impact of innovation on the supply chain and factor accordingly in supply plan.

Working Capital Management

Actively manages and tracks total categories working capital values against agreed target levels. Uses FG inventory modelling tools, regularly reviewing inputs and outputs from these models to ensure appropriate stock holding policy in order to meet customer service level targets.
