Job Description
The HR Officer’s responsibilities would include updating the company’s HR policies and overseeing our hiring processes. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have an extensive background in Human Resources Management and thorough knowledge of the labor legislation regulations of Ghana. Ultimately, the incumbent will provide the required support to the Human Resource Manager in managing the day-to-day administration of employee welfare and other related areas. Monitor the HR department’s budget and ensure value-for-money strategies are implemented during the procurement of logistics for HR/Administration departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update HR documents, including the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Guidelines, Service Agreements, and Contracts of Employment.
- Assist employees with performance appraisals and guide employees in accessing benefits packages.
- Oversee and execute administrative processes within the HR department.
- Maintain compliance with Ghana’s laws including the labor and employment laws as well as laws with international partner’s country.
- Supervise employee recruitment, meetings, and terminations.
- Handle and investigate employee complaints impartially and objectively.
- Introduce and implement new HR technologies to enhance department efficiency.
- Ensure the consistent application of the company’s HR policies.
- Assist in Designing the compensation and benefits packages for staff.
- Implement performance review procedures (e.g. quarterly/annual and 360° evaluations)
- Assist in Developing fair HR policies and ensure employees understand and comply with them.
- Monitor the HR department’s budget and ensure value-for-money strategies are implemented during the procurement of logistics for HR/Administration departments.
- Provide support concerning the coordination of business training and the strategic agenda of the company.
- Implement effective sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques
- Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees.

Required Skills or Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven work experience as an HR Officer, or similar role in a recognized institution, preferably the real Estate and Developmental enclaves.
- Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems and the application of HR Tracking Systems. For instance, the application of the ERP HR Software as a tracker.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting
- Good knowledge of labor legislation and conventions in Ghana (particularly employment contracts, employee leaves, and insurance)
- Demonstrable leadership abilities
- Solid communication skills
- A good degree in BA/BSc: Human Resources Management or a relevant field in social science obtained from a recognized tertiary institution
- Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in similar or related portfolios

The successful candidate would report directly to the HR Manager on all HR-related matters. S/He is expected to provide a monthly report for the HR Manager’s analysis to facilitate a comprehensive monthly report to management as well as provide any report that would be required by the CEO, COO or any Executive Officer
