Job Description
Purpose of Job
To provide an efficient systems administration function in support of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 45001; Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards for Ghana as per the relevant acts

Required Outputs
Functional Outputs
- Assist in the preparation of all SHEQ related reports including: Safety statistics, Environmental Compliance, Carbon Footprint reports in full and on time to meet AECI standard.
- Assist in conducting SHEQ audits to ensure compliance with the requirement of the ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 & 45001 codes of practice.
- Act as main contact/focal peron for Safety, Quality and Environmental documentation and procedures
- Accountable for entire document Control system for Safety, Quality and Environment, and maintain ongoing ISO accreditation within the company.
- Administration/maintenance of respective databases i.e., UORs, Take 5, change proposals and waste reporting.
- Ensure adherence to the site safety rules and regulations and co-ordinate the training of operations staff in all written safe work procedures (WSWP) and safe handling practices for all chemicals used in the process.

- Co-ordinate/conduct site specific induction for new employees and contractors and also for employees returning from leave.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assesment, planned job observations and risk control on all processes, activities and services
- Recommend appropriate remedial action in response to unsafe conditions and behaviour.
- Lead in creation of Zero Injury culture.
- Provide accurate and prompt SHEQ data and incident reporting as required.
- Act as auditee(for documentation) during audits.
- Manage Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure that these are current at all times.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly safety reports for review as per reporting schedule
- Any other duties required in line with SHEQ

Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications and expertise required
- A Bachelors Degree in Physical Sciences, Health and Safety Engineering or related field
- Mininum of 3 years of experience in SHEQ documentation in a mining/manufacturing company
- Must have a minimum of Health, Safety and Environment(HSE) Officer certification from MinCom
- Nebosh or IOSH certificate in Health and Safety

- Detailed knowledge of Production Process:reference Operating Instruction (OI’s) Product Specs
- Good working knowledge of and understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Legislations, Codes and Practices.
- Knowledge of SHE Policies and Standards, Auditing procedures and Legal Requirements
- Relevant explosives and chemical manufacturing processes
