Summary Information

Overview
- strengthening government institutions to identify, monitor, prevent, and address forced and child labour and human trafficking;
- improving capacity of organizations and supply chain actors in cocoa and gold mining sectors that implement Human Right Due Diligence and best practices;
- building capacity of community-based organizations and community monitors to enable them to advocate for and demand accountability from government and cocoa/goldmining companies on their commitments.
- It, at the same time, aims to build the socio-economic resilience of vulnerable people to make them resilient in the face of recruitment into forced labour and child labour.
With the last lap of the project, the service of a consultant is needed to support project implementation.

Main Objectives
The main objective of the consultancy is to find a dedicated person willing to provide the requisite services, aligns with Rainforest Alliance’s and the NORAD project objectives.
Contractor Services at a minimum must include:
- Regular monitoring of project activities in project communities in the Ashanti, Western, Eastern and Western North Regions and reporting on same.
- Conduct analyses of ArcGIS data collected under the project for graphical presentation.
- Provide backstopping to community monitors on the data collection app when necessary.
- Synthesizes monthly reports of Community-Based Organizations.
- Synthesizes quarterly reports of implementing partners.
- Develop MEL plan and tools for tracking progress and achievements.
- Provide input in project proposal writing.
- Thirty percent travel time to project communities
- Willingness to support project implementation in areas assigned by the senior project manager.

Deliverables
- Developed MEL plan and tools for tracking progress and achievements.
- Analyzed graphical presentation of ArcGIS data collected under the project
- Evidence of regular monitoring of project activities in project communities in the Ashanti, Western, Eastern and Western North Regions and reporting on same.
- Evidence of backstopping provided to community monitors on the data collection app
- Synthesized monthly reports of Community-Based Organizations.
- Synthesized quarterly reports of implementing partners.
General Terms and Conditions for Request for Proposal
- Proposals and/or any additional information received after the submission time and date are subject to rejection by The Rainforest Alliance. Incomplete proposals may be rejected by RA at its discretion.
- The Rainforest Alliance reserves the right to request additional information at any time during the procurement process.

- RA is at liberty to make multiple or no selections as part of the proposal process. RA also reserves the right to cancel the procurement.
- All proposal costs shall be borne by the applicant and will not be reimbursed by RA.
- Proposals/ quotes will be rejected if any illegal or corrupt practices have taken place in connection with the award.
- Applicant is required to submit proposal together with a signed copy of the “Certification and Representation to RA” as enclosed to this Request for Proposal.

Required Skills or Experience
Consultants will be assessed based on at least the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree with expertise in Social / Development / Legal field/, Monitoring and Evaluation, with at least 5 years of project management / advisory experience in a similar field;
- Strong understanding and demonstrated field experience in gender and human rights issues in the sectors.
- Experience in developing impactful, innovative field programs around child labour, children’s rights, forced labour and/or other labour and human rights issues;
- Good representational, negotiating & advocacy skills and experience;

- Ability to travel a minimum of 30% during the agreement period in Ghana but also to other countries.
