JOB PURPOSE
The Plant Fitter will be responsible for providing servicing and maintenance works including installations, modifications, and commissioning of equipment of the Process Plant within specified timelines in a safe and satisfactory condition to ensure it operates effectively and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide maintenance support for process equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, grinding mills, gravity concentrators, hydro cyclones, and pressure filters to maintain optimum performance.
- To undertake preventative maintenance, repair works, overhauls and installations are appropriately carried out as per instructions from the Supervisor.
- Monitoring equipment condition and escalating issues to prevent further deterioration.
- Carry out routine maintenance such as greasing, lubrication, etc.
- Carry out repairs and/or modifications including potential minor fabrication works to the Plant components.
- Carry out installations at the Process Plant equipment and pipes.
- Carry out shutdown maintenance on the milling, crushing, elution and gravity circuits as well as the gold room.
- Carry out rebuild of components such as gearbox, bearing assembly, cone crusher mantle and concave.
- Carry out air compressor and PSA Plant maintenance works.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience
Knowledge
- Must have a minimum of Engineering Technician Certificate – Part III or an equivalent Trade certificate from a recognized institution.
- Minerals Commission of Ghana Technician Engineering Certification will be an added advantage.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ post qualification experience in similar role in the mining or related industry.
- Must have in-depth understanding and working knowledge in:
- Mill and crusher maintenance.
- Centrifugal and mono pumps maintenance.
- Air compressor and conveyor maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and recommending solutions to the identified faults/problems.

Skills
- Must demonstrate a wide range of mechanical skills in pipe fitting, pump maintenance, slinging and lifting, welding and cutting, confined space works, among others.
- Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must communicate meaningfully in written and oral English.
