The Research Institution tracking macroeconomic and financial data located in Accra (Commercial Capital of Africa) and based in Tema is seeking energetic candidates with an economics/finance/governance background to join its growing team, first as an intern.
They are seeking for an individual with interest in governance responsible for carrying out macroeconomic analysis, forecasting & analyzing policies. Strong research & writing skills and the ability to relay results to both lay & professional audiences are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Applying statistical principles and concepts to conduct high quality research and analysis; improve the quality, and enhance the analytical usefulness of data;

- Serving as an assistant technical expert on issues of governance and program development activities within the firm, with other agencies, and research institutions in areas of finance;
- Provide advice, recommendations and expertise on national and international governance issues of economic policy and development, bilateral and international economic relations, strategies and opportunities for advocacy, planning and execution of the economic program, and commercial.
- Conduct or lead in-depth research and analysis to support the development and implementation of advocacy projects and economic diplomacy strategies.
Requirements:
- Must be residing in TEMA or its environs
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in economics or finance, or other social science with a focus on finance, economics and statistics (Bsc, BA, MBA, Mphil)

- Ability to build relationships, collaborate with team members, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience researching and communicating findings in written work that include visual aids such as graphs and tables; excellent written, analytical and communication skills
- Power user in Microsoft required;
- Background in political or policy research is a plus
