Length of Contract: Permanent, Full time
The Medical Officer (MO) will be primarily responsible for supporting MSIG Clinical teams by providing general medical care as well as SRH services including Family planning, Safe Abortion and STI Management services. The MO will work closely with the Clinical Quality Team to ensure Clinical Quality Standards are maintained across all Service Channels. The post will be based in MSIG Premier Clinic at Tesano in Accra, with travel to other operational regions in Ghana.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership and Network Building
- Develop functional relationships with key SRH partners interested in clinical issues in respect of service delivery.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with other health care providers to facilitate sharing of learnings, referrals, and management of medical emergencies.

Service Delivery Duties
- Provide full range of SRH services including Family planning, Safe Abortion and STI Management services
- Collaborate with the Medical development team to ensure all quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures are maintained.
- Enable and facilitate Quality Technical Assistance processes as mandated for service delivery channels
- Provide advice on SRH services to the clinical and operational teams.
- Assist with clinical training of healthcare providers.
- Promote and maintain a professional working environment.
- Contribute to MSIG annual business and strategic planning exercises.
- Participate in the Medical advisory team meetings.
- Perform any other clinical functions required by MSIG
Communication and Administration
- Maintain professional communication standards with head of departments and other team members.
- Keep and manage records of service provision activities.
- Regularly provide clinical project updates to Health management teams.
- Ensure formal communications with the various partners are properly documented.

Required Skills or Experience
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Medical Doctor (MD/MBChB/MBBS) with experience in sexual and reproductive health.
- Have Permanent registration and in good standing with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council
- Be well-versed in Ghana Health Service clinical policies, protocols, and standards.
- Experience in sexual and reproductive health service,
- Health professionals training
- Quality assurance in healthcare
- Be energetic and enthusiastic about sexual and reproductive health
- MUST be pro-choice.
- MUST be sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning and Reproductive Health services
- MUST be able to work on own initiative and motivate others to deliver high quality service to achieve results
- MUST be Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels –government, donor and community.
- MUST be gender sensitive and youth friendly
