Role Description

NAYA Naturals Limited (NAYA by Africa) has a new job vacancy available. NAYA by Africa is looking for an entry-level Cost Accountant with impeccable attention to detail, strong analytical skills, smart with numbers, and competent in Microsoft Excel to manage product costs, pricing, and inventory valuation.

The goal is to support the company’s leaders with planning budgets, forecasts, and product standards. We are looking for someone who is ready to learn and work well with a team to accomplish long-term goals.

You will also support data management, process improvements, documentation, and reporting, to ensure integrity and efficiency of the systems and processes across the company. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Cost Accountant at NAYA BY AFRICA located in Accra.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models for product costing, standards and budget planning for the effective financial management of the various company departments.
  • Analyze weekly costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales, and expenses and compare the company’s actual performance to standards and budget.
  • Analyzing company operational costs and activities for efficiency
  • Developing pricing models for Product Standard Costs
  • Working with the accounting team and management on forecasting, planning, and budgets
  • Managing movement, evaluation, and valuation of inventory
  • Analyzing sales costs to ensure proper pricing of products at wholesale and retail
  • Be a key resource person for management by understanding business operations and industry trends
  • Collaborate with various teams to support robust operational initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for financial process structures and processes and provide recommendations
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
  • Documentation of financial processes for standardization and efficiency of financial management
  • Other analysis and documentation to improve the financial health of the company

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or interest in Accounting or Product Costing
