New Job Vacancy at TRUST2PEACE

TRUST2PEACE is a five-year Conflict Mitigation and Prevention Activity funded by USAID-Ghana under cooperative agreement No. 72064122CA00003, with the University of Maryland – Center for International Development and Conflict Management (UMD-CIDCM) as the prime awardee. Other consortium partners include WANEP-Ghana, Norsaac, and Washington State University. The objective of the Activity is to build social cohesion among communities in Northern Ghana in order to prevent the spread of violent extremism.

TRUST2PEACE has a new job vacancy available. The non-governmental organization is seeking to hire Field Officers. 10 slots are available for this position.

Job Description

  • Locations: Sawla, Yendi, Fufulso, Karaga, Bunkpurugu, Fumbisi, Navrongo, Bolgatanga, Wa, Lambussie
  • Reporting Relationship: Project Coordinator 
  • Supervisory Relationship: Community Volunteers

The Field Officer is classified as support staff for the Activity charged with the responsibility for the effective implementation of all strategies of the activity through collaboration with all sub-awardees.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the planning, mobilizing and executing district and community level activities 
  • Serve as a key focal contact in the collection of relevant data for the tracking and reporting of project results. 
  • Mobilize and facilitate weekly empowerment activities targeting women and youth
  • Assist MEL Team in the execution of monitoring visits
  • Ensure that all project asserts at the district and community levels are utilized in accordance with donor policies and requirements
  • Participate in outreach activities involving district agencies and submit reports regularly
  • Participate in the establishment of partnerships with other CSOs and NGOs at the district and community levels
  • Represent the project in district and community level events
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management

Required Skills or Experience

  • Be experienced in mobilizing community members for participation in project activities
  • Be resident in the aforementioned locations or at least their respective districts
  • Be proficient in speaking the dialect of a preferred location
  • A minimum educational qualification of degree from any recognized university
  • Have at least 1 years of experience in the NGO sector
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Ability to ride a motorbike in rough terrains
  • Be proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
