Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The successful applicant shall be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen which includes menu planning, food preparation and presentation. He/ She is expected to monitor the quality of food, follow all food safety regulations and coordinate kitchen activities. The role reports to the Restaurant Manager.

ROLE SPECIFIC
REQUIREMENTS
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
- Inspects the quality of the food and ingredients and manages special dietary needs.
- Coordinates, hire and train all and new kitchen staff to ensure all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains a clean and organized kitchen, taking into consideration all health and safety regulations.
- Oversees purchasing to stay within certain budget.

Required Skills or Experience
- Certificate in culinary arts from a recognized Establishment.
- Incredible food preparation abilities.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in similar role.
- Knowledge in Food Safety, deep knowledge of the food industry and trends.
PERSON SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT
- Supervises operation of restaurant including bar area.
- Effectively delegate jobs and responsibilities to restaurant staff.
- Monitor purchasing of supplies and perform frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service.

- Work with management personnel to plan and organise restaurant events.
- Organise and oversee regular training of all restaurant staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
