Job Description
MSI Ghana has a vacancy for passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience in Accra and Kumasi. MSI Ghana’s goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.

Length of Contract: Temporary
The SM Temporary Salesperson (TSP) is responsible for coverage of Pharmacies and Chemical shops to drive distribution of SM products in Pharmacies and Chemical shops. The position will support the recruitment of additional Pharmacies and Chemical shops as sales outlets for SM products. Subsequently, the substantive position will support the social marketing function of MSIG’s work.
The post will be based in Accra & Kumasi.

Key Responsibilities
Coverage and Distribution
- Visit Pharmacies and Chemical shops in assigned territories between the hours of 14:00pm and 20:00pm to discuss various SM products-Mariprist, PTK and BK-1, with Pharmacists, Pharmacy/Chemical Shop Owners, and Sales attendants.
- Get orders for products and get MDs to supply.
- Visit at least 7 NEW Pharmacies or Chemical shops a day. -Total of 140 outlets visited and 70 outlets stock SM products-Mariprist, PTK, BK-1.
- Get at least 3 outlets to agree to buy at least one box of Mariprist, two Boxes of PTK and one box of BK-1 per month.
Reports
- Submit a report of detailing names, location, contact details of Pharmacies & chemical shops visited.
- Submit a report of outlets that stock products and volume of products stocked. Each outlet must stock at least one box of Mariprist (10 packs), 2 boxes pf PTK and one box of BK-1(10 packs).

Required Skills or Experience
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND/Diploma in any health science, marketing, sales and procurement.
- Experience in sales of Medicines to Pharmacies and Chemical shops.
- Sales & Marketing skills
- Experience and knowledge of the private pharmaceutical market and working regulated pharmaceutical products.
- Demonstrated experience in working across teams and with external partners
- Strong communication skills
- Number literate and analytical; excellent attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Hard working and results-focused
- Able to work independently and with own initiative
- Problem-solving and “can do” approach to challenges
- Customer-focused
- Enjoys learning
