Position: Microfinance Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Microfinance Officer in a leading rural bank in the Eastern Region.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for prospecting, formation and training or groups
  • Prospecting for loan customers, appraising loan as well as undertaking daily loan recovery exercise
  • Supervision of Mobile Bankers (Susu Collectors), reconciliation of passbooks as well as customer visitation

Qualification Required & Experience

  • A minimum of HND or bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional (Part II or above) qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACIB, CIMA etc
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in microfinance activities
  • Relative experience in any banking operation role will be an added advantage

Competencies & Skills

  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge in T24 banking software will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrate high standards of integrity, professionalism & adhere to ethical standards
  • Self-motivated, analytical & attentive to details
  • Good numeracy and coordination skills
  • Must be able ride motorbike and possess a valid motor riding license
  • Must be between the ages of 25 years – 30 years at the time application

Location: Eastern Region
