Job Descriptions

The Senior Short Term Planning Engineer will be responsible for delivering the 12-weekly rolling and the quarterly mine plan, and supervise the short-term weekly scheduling in accordance with the Business Plan and Life of Mine (LOM) resource/ reserve pipeline.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Must have a minimum of a Degree in Mining Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • Mine Foreman Certificate of Competency from the Minerals Commission is an added advantage;
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a similar position in an underground mining environment;
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the Ghana Mining Regulation LI2182, LI2177 and other related regulations
  • Must have a valid first aid certificate.

SKILL

  • Proficient in Deswik, Surpac, GIS, GEOVIA, AutoCAD, Deswik scheduling and other scheduling software;
  • Computer literacy skills; Microsoft Office suite (word, excel and power point) and other related applications.
  • In-depth understanding and competency in Mine planning;
  • Must have experience in ventilation and drill and blast engineering;
  • Ability to understand underground plan and design;
  • Proficient in report writing and data analysis;
  • Strong data management and presentation skills;
  • Adept at working safely and efficiently under pressure;
  • Project management skills.
