Job Descriptions
The Senior Short Term Planning Engineer will be responsible for delivering the 12-weekly rolling and the quarterly mine plan, and supervise the short-term weekly scheduling in accordance with the Business Plan and Life of Mine (LOM) resource/ reserve pipeline.

Qualification Required & Experience
- Must have a minimum of a Degree in Mining Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Mine Foreman Certificate of Competency from the Minerals Commission is an added advantage;
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a similar position in an underground mining environment;
- Must have in-depth knowledge of the Ghana Mining Regulation LI2182, LI2177 and other related regulations
- Must have a valid first aid certificate.
SKILL
- Proficient in Deswik, Surpac, GIS, GEOVIA, AutoCAD, Deswik scheduling and other scheduling software;
- Computer literacy skills; Microsoft Office suite (word, excel and power point) and other related applications.
- In-depth understanding and competency in Mine planning;
- Must have experience in ventilation and drill and blast engineering;
- Ability to understand underground plan and design;
- Proficient in report writing and data analysis;
- Strong data management and presentation skills;
- Adept at working safely and efficiently under pressure;
- Project management skills.
