Voucher Examiner At US Embassy

The Voucher Examiner post is open at the US Embassy in Accra, and interested parties are encouraged to apply. Full-time, 40-hour workweeks are the standard schedule for this employment.

Duties:

The incumbent serves under the supervision of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner-SVE and works to ensure invoices from vendors are paid timely and accurately.

S/he is responsible for examining all vouchers/invoices, including the most difficult and complex invoices for goods, services, grants and other transactions for the Department of State which includes serviced and non-serviced agencies (INL, DHS, CDC, ICASS, IBB, LEGATT, NAMRU, DEA, NAMRU, etc).

The incumbent uses the Regional Financial Management System – RFMS, Integrated Logistics Management System-ILMS, Global GeT – e2 and COAST to process vouchers.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of work experience in basic accounting, auditing, cashiering, management or administration in an international organization, NGO, government agency or private enterprise is required.

Job Knowledge:

  • Must have general knowledge of basic accounting procedures and management, as well as Ghanaian financial rules and regulations which pertain to Embassy business.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Post Secondary Education in Accounting, Business, Administration, Management, Audit, Finance or Professional level I ACCA/ICA/CIMA is required.
