The 2025 Diversity Visa Program is now open! The US Department of State announced on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, that their Website for the 2025 Diversity Visa Program (DV-2025) is now open.
The entry submission period for DV-2025 is from 12:00 PM EDT (GMT -4) on October 4, 2023, to 12:00 PM EST (GMT -5) on November 7, 2023. The entry form will only be available for submission during this period. It further stated that entries will not be accepted through the U.S. postal service, so entrants must take note.
For Fiscal Year 2025, up to 55,000 Diversity Visas (DVs) will be available. There is no cost to register for the DV program, but selectees who are scheduled for an interview will be required to pay a visa application fee prior to making their formal visa application where a consular officer will determine whether they qualify for the
visa.

Electronic Diversity Visa Program Entry Instructions
According to the US Department of State entry instructions,
- Entrants may be disqualified for not completing the entry form correctly or for submitting more than one entry.
- Before beginning the entry process, verify that your picture and pictures of any dependents fully comply with the DV entry photo requirements included in the DV-2025 instructions. Your case will be disqualified if you submit a non-compliant photo.
- The entry form is prepared in two parts, one for the primary entrant and one for derivatives (if any). Each part must be completed correctly and completely before going to the next part. After all parts are completed, the entry will be submitted to the DV-2025 Processing Centre.
- The Department of State uses sophisticated technology to detect multiple entries. Submission of more than one entry for a person will disqualify all entries for that person.
- No late entries or paper entries will be accepted.
