Popular Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel has revealed that the catchphrase “Odo Yewu” in his most recent number-one record, “Cough,” which was released last month, is a thank-you to Ghanaians for their tremendous support of the success of his prior number-one single, “Buga.”
Speaking in an interview with Joy FM’s Lexiz Bill on the Drivetime Show recently, the artiste who is billed to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this weekend said he took the decision because he was overwhelmed by Ghana’s support.
When Buga was released, he explained, it spent the most time at the top of the charts in Ghana compared to other African nations.
“Buga stayed at number 1 in Ghana the longest, out of all the African countries. So I was like ‘big love to Ghana,” Kizz Daniel said.
