Meet The Late Theresa Abebrese In Lumba’s Popular Song
The Real Story Behind Theresa Song by Daddy Lumba.
One of the most adored and highly regarded songs by the illustrious Ghanaian singer Daddy Lumba is called Theresa.
Who is Theresa Abebrese in Daddy Lumba’s Theresa Song?
The song was dedicated to the late Theresa Abebrese, an ex-girlfriend of Lumba from their time at Juaben Senior High School, and was included on the 1990 Obi Ate Meso Bo album (DL’s first solo album).
Theresa Abebrese was his first girlfriend, according to Daddy Lumba, and it was thanks to her that he was able to leave for Germany in search of greener pastures.
Theresa Abebrese was said to be quite compassionate. She gave Lumba a lot of support. Unfortunately, Theresa Abebrese and Daddy Lumba never got married. The reason behind their separation was unknown to the public.
Sadly, Theresa passed away in 2017 at the age of 53 years.
