The organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Charter House, have announced the full list of musicians that have been nominated for the 24th edition of the award scheme, dubbed VGMA 24.
The nominees were released on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Grand Arena in Accra, with several major surprises and first-timers making it to the top categories. Rocky Dawuni, a three-time Grammy nominee, was nominated for the first time.
He was nominated in the category of Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist.
The 24th annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will be held on May 13, 2023, with deserving musicians seeking to take home substantial prizes for their contributions to the year in review.
Eight nominees are competing for the top honour, VGMA Artiste of the Year. They are Joe Mettle, King Promise, Camidoh, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Piesie Esther, and Black Sherif.
According to Charter House, the various categories include selected musicians who have made their names and crafts popular among the general public.
