I have started processes to get Akufo-Addo impeached.
Murtala Mohammed, a member of parliament (MP) representing Tamale Central, has disclosed his intentions to start the impeachment proceedings against President Akufo-Addo.
This week, some 80 New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs urged that Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta be fired because to the current financial difficulties.
If the president does not comply with their requests, they vowed to boycott government business in parliament.
The group, however, accepted President Akufo-Addo’s request, asking them to allow the Finance Minister some time to finish negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

However, in an interview with Accra-based Citi TV’s political analysis show, The Big Issue, Murtala Mohammed stated that President Akufo-Addo must also stand down, adding that he has already taken efforts to secure the President’s removal.
“If we think that, it is justified to call for the removal of the Finance Minister, let us not be hypocrites. It is equally justified to call for the removal of the President. I am assuring that, I have started talking to some of my friends to ensure that that we initiate a motion to ensure that the President is impeached. I have started [the process].”
