Purpose of the Ghana Card Linking Portals by Banks
To assist their devoted consumers link their Ghana Cards to their bank accounts, banks have made available their own portals.
Customers will be able to successfully transact with their banks going forward thanks to this.
Customers of banks with certification from Ghana have until July 1 to update their information with the Ghana Card or risk losing the right to use their specific bank accounts for any sort of financial activity.

How to link your Ghana Card and Bank Account online
- First, visit the Ghana Card linking portal of your bank using the bank’s URL above.
- Then, enter your Bank Account Number.
- After here, you could be asked to to provide either your your date of birth or verify your phone number etc. to validate your account depending on the type of bank.
- Upload a picture of your Ghana Card.
- You will see a message on the portal or receive a message on your phone or email confirming your success in linking your Ghana Card and Bank Account.

Why do you have to link your Ghana Card to Your Bank Account?
Customers of financial institutions regulated by the Bank of Ghana must update their accounts as necessary using the Ghana Card at such institutions in order to comply with Bank of Ghana regulations.
This is due to the Anti-Money Laundering Act and Bank of Ghana’s requirements that all financial institutions update their customer records to reflect the Ghana Card.
