Here is a list of the participating schools competing for one highly sought-after right in NSMQ 2022, which has its share of high and low points.
NSMQ 2021 Winner
The Kumasi-based Prempeh College denied the PRESEC Legon boys and Keta Senior High school the title of National Science and Math Quiz Champions last year (NSMQ).
At the end of the contest, Prempeh College got 53 points with PRESEC and KETASCO getting 49 and 30 points respectively.

NSMQ 2022
Once more, the 2022 National Championship will be held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, from October 10 to October 26, 2022.
The launching and balloting will take place in Accra’s GNAT New Conference Hall on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 3 PM.
This year’s NSMQ contests have so far been open to 132 Senior High Schools in total.
However, because they are the schools with the most lost points, certain SHSs have been invited back into the competition to fill empty seats.

“A total of nine schools have been invited to join the National Championship, by virtue of losing their Regional Qualifiers with impressive scores. These schools lost with 40 points and above.”

27 schools have already qualified for the National Science and Math Quiz in 2022.
Due to these schools’ quarterfinal finishes in NSMQ 2021, they were given the seeding places.
The outcome of your school’s application and performance on the National Science and Maths Quiz will determine whether or not it is seeded.
The advantage of being a seeded school is that your school will be exempt from two important contests, namely the regional and preliminary rounds of the NSMQ the following year.
